Recap 2019

When I look back on 2019 my first thoughts are that it was relatively uneventful compared to my last few years. In 2017 we found out that I was pregnant and we closed on our first home. In 2018 we had Baby Girl and we adjusted to our new normal. When I started trying to look back on this year it seemed so insignificant at first, but now that I’ve been thinking on it, we did a lot!

In the beginning of the year Hubby and I had parental leave left to take from work before Baby Girl turned a year old. During that time I treated us to our first Bed and Breakfast in a town that we had always wanted to visit. Baby Girl stayed with her grandparents (and away from us) overnight for the first time. We also went with family to stay in a cabin in the mountains (it didn’t snow). During the end of Winter I created this website and Baby Girl turned one!

Fast forward to the summer and Baby Girl went swimming and camping a ton and even went kayaking with her PopPop.

At the end of the summer Hubby and I once again went on a weekend away and took a trip to Washington DC for the first time. I personally think we need trips like these to help recharge our souls.

During the Fall time I had a eureka moment and decided to start my own bath product line. It has taken a lot of research and work to get to where I am at currently and I feel like I haven’t really started. I have a lot of plans and ideas and they are currently all I think about. I’m even thinking about them while rocking my daughter to sleep!

During this past year I’ve also seen my 9 month old grow into a rambunctious, talkative, sassy 21 month old. I still can’t believe that she’s almost two! Her recent words are mine, “ohmen” oven and help. She’s using them in sentence too like “I help!” Or “my ohmen, it mine” when talking about her play kitchen, or she’ll point towards the kitchen and say “momma ohmen!”

I have a lot of ambition for 2020 and I’m hoping things come to pass, I’m going to meditate on them and hope them into existence.
